Quotations provided by Sinclair Electrical Contractors Ltd are valid for 30 days from issue date. Quotations are based on information provided at the time of assessment and may be subject to revision if circumstances change significantly. A quotation does not constitute a binding contract until formally accepted by both parties and work begins. All work will be performed in accordance with the agreed quotation scope unless variations are approved in writing by the client.

Client Responsibilities

When engaging Sinclair Electrical Contractors Ltd, the client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information regarding property ownership, access arrangements, and existing installations.
  • Ensure that arrangements are made for safe access to the property during agreed appointments.
  • Inform us of any other contractors working on the property simultaneously.
  • Provide advance notice of any changes to agreed project scope or timescales.
  • Pay invoices within agreed payment terms.
  • Maintain appropriate safety standards on site and comply with all Health and Safety requirements.

Warranties and Guarantees

Sinclair Electrical Contractors Ltd warrants that:

  • All electrical work will be undertaken by qualified, certified professionals.
  • All work will comply with Building Regulations Part P, BS 7671 electrical standards, and applicable Health and Safety legislation.
  • All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion date.
  • Appropriate completion certificates will be provided upon work completion.
  • All work will be executed professionally and to agreed specifications.

Limitation of Liability

Liability Exclusions

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sinclair Electrical Contractors Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from service provision.
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity.
  • Damage arising from delays in service delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
  • Loss or damage to client property not directly caused by negligent installation work by our team.
  • Issues arising from client's failure to follow provided safety guidance or usage instructions.

Our total liability for any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the value of work undertaken for the specific project in question.

Limitation on Warranty Claims

Warranty claims must be reported within 30 days of work completion. Our warranty does not cover damage arising from misuse, unauthorised modifications, accident, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow provided maintenance guidance. Any warranty work will be performed during standard business hours at no additional charge.

Payment Terms

Pricing and Payment

All pricing is exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. Payment terms are generally net 14 days from invoice date. For larger projects, a deposit of 20% may be required upon quotation approval, with balance due upon completion. Late payment charges at 8% per annum above Bank of England base rate will apply to invoices outstanding beyond 30 days. We reserve the right to suspend services if payment becomes significantly overdue.
